I Won’t Hesitate Cleaning El-Rufa’i’s Shoes, Clothes To Attract Development – Community Leader

A trade Unionist and Community leader in Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria, Comrade Silas Adamu, has said that he will not hesitate to polish Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s shoes and ironing his clothes,  if it will usher in, the provision of social amenities in the community.
Comrade Adamu made the assertion in his acceptance speech shortly after emerging the President General of Sabon Tasha GRA Residents Association.
Comrade Adamu emphasised that he was ready to follow all constitutional means to ensure the Sabon Tasha GRA was  developed to a standard befitting its name like any other GRA in the country.
“A good leader is first a diplomat and by my background coming from NLC, l don’t belong to any group. Mine is to ensure the right thing is done. If it means me going to clean His Excellency, Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s shoes and ironing his clothes to bring development to the area, I will definitely do it.
“Good leadership entails there is excellent followership. In providing excellent followership, all of us have made this epoch making event a success and must abide by the laws of the association that calls for good brotherliness, understanding and peaceful coexistence.
“Therefore, I thank you for this confidence placed in me. I will contribute my quota, believing it will spur everyone to contributing to make the association progress irrespective of any difference.”
Those elected and returned are Mr Atta Onoja as Vice President, Barrister Dan Paul Fredericks (Secretary General, Mr. Patrick Fuman (Assistant Secretary), Mr. Appolos Shinkut (Financial Secretary) and Mr. Silas Jonah as Treasurer.
Others are Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson (Executive PRO), Mrs. Cecilia Dzingina, Jonathan Kure (Youth Leader), Emmanuel Zuahu (Internal Auditor) and Cletus Ogbonna (Welfare Officer).
They are to serve for a tenure of two years, after which an election would be held.
