Gombe (Nigeria) – Rasulul-a’azam Foundation (RAAF) a Shi’a set leader, Sheik Muhammad Nur-Dass, has enjoined Muslims to emulate the practice of Prophet Muhammad in their daily activities for more rewards and blessing from Allah.
Sheik Muhammad Nur Dass made the appeal at the annual Maulud of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Gombe state, northeast of the country on Sunday, and that any person who in his life, stays on the right path, would benefit in the world and hereafter .
Nur-Dass emphasized that life in the world is temporary hence the need for people to control their hearts not to involve in evil acts or corruption wherever they found themselves adding that and any evil committed , they must account it before God.
Also speaking, Sheik Sale Sani-Zaria, called on Muslims faithful to join Christians in celebrating Christmas toward ensuring peace, unity and progress in the country, adding that Christmas day is for celebrating the birth day of prophet Isa ‘Jesus’ hence the need for Muslims to celebrate together to show love to one another as was done by Prophet Muhammad.
“We are calling on the Muslims to emulate Prophet Muhammad who accommodate the Christian clergy and permit them to perform their religious duty within his Mosque.
“And saying congratulations to the followers of Christianity is not prohibited in Islam according to our understanding.
“Given them gift or accepting their gift and being happy with them all are acceptable in Islam”, he said.
According to him, even in simplifying leaving conditions in the society for bringing more peace among the people is most welcome.
Sani-Zaria reminded people to unite and look at followers of other religion as their own brothers and sisters.
In a remark, Bashir Lawal, called on clerics to always preach the truth for their followers to understand and follow right directions in order to have peace and unity in the society.
“Islam is very simple and straight forward as whatever you do, you must account for it in the Day of Judgment, “You have nothing to fear if you emulate the practice of Prophet Muhammad,” he said.
