Bomb Explosion Kills 3 In Maduguri Northeast Nigeria

An explosion has killed three suspected suicide bombers in Maiduguri after one of them detonated an explosive device by stationed fuel tankers.

The attack occurred early Friday morning, along Damboa Road, where two fuel tankers burnt as a result of the explosion.

An eye witness told AFRICA PRIME NEWS that the road was barricaded by security men including the police and military, making passage on the road difficult for commuters.

“anybody passing along that road is forced to change their route. Many have to go through peoples plots, others have to change their routes completely off their course before returning to the road again.

“It occurred near CNB quarters”.

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) North-East, spokesman, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, said bodies of the three suicide bombers have been evacuated by emergency workers.

He added that “The fire has been brought under control while causality evacuation has been concluded.”
