A 32-year-old man, Bashir Umar, has allegedly inserted a pair of scissors into the genitals of an eight-year-old girl in Dutse LGA of Jigawa State.
The State’ Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawal Shiisu Adam said the tragic and inhumane incident was reported on August 29, 2024, at about 1420hrs to Dutse Divisional Police Headquarters that, an eight-year-old girl had been coerced into a one table water company’s restroom by one Bashir Umar ‘m’ 32yrs of Galamawa town, Dutse LGA, who then forcibly inserted scissors and a spoon into the girl’s vagina and anus, respectively.
“In a similar manner, Bashir injected the girl’s private part with a syringe, rendering her unconscious to the point of incapacitation, and causing blood to seep from her virginity.
“After she regained consciousness, he gave her one hundred and fifty naira (#150) and threatened to kill her and her parents if she told anyone about what had transpired.
“From then on, whenever he saw her heading to school, he would entice her into his room, abuse her again using the same technique, and threaten to tell no one.
“After experiencing problems with her urine and stool due to vaginal and anus mixing, she was brought to the hospital, where the attending physician verified that her genital organ had been punctured.
“She later disclosed the protracted extramarital affairs she had with the suspect.
“The survivor is currently at Rashid Shekoni Teaching Hospital Dutse where she was admitted receiving treatment.
“The suspect was arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department Dutse for discreet investigation.
The suspect has since been charged to court to face the full wrath of the law”, the PPRO narrated.
Also, a case of CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, SHOP BREAKING, AND THEFT has been reported by the police officer that On 30/08/2024 at about 0700hrs, one Abduljabal Umar ‘m’ of Gagarawa tasha reported at Gagarawa Division that, on the same date at about 0200hrs unknown individuals criminally broke the wall of his shop, entered and stole half bags of rice and beans, a carton of spaghetti, and the sum of ten thousand naira only (#10,000.00k)
Based on a tip off, the following suspects were arrested; (1) one Aminu Usman ‘m’ age 20yrs, (2) Shitu Wada ‘m’ age 19yrs all of Gagarawa tasha.
The said Aminu was just released on bail on 29/08/2024 in connection with the case of looting Jigawa State Agricultural And Rural Development Agency (JARDA) during the recent violent hunger protest.
On interrogation, the suspects confessed and the aforementioned items were recovered in their possession with an additional 3KG gas cylinder.
The case has been charged to court accordingly, the Police concluded.
