Presidential aspirants under the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP ), Bukola Saraki, Pius Anyim and Muhammed Hayatudeen, respectively stormed Kaduna within 24 hrs, Monday and Tuesday to convince Party delegates why they should be endorsed.

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Sunday promised to make the issue of insecurity his most top-priority if elected.

Saraki who walked into the Kaduna state PDP Secretariat at exactly 2: 23 pm in his native blue attire appealed to the delegates to vote for him in the primaries.

The former Kwara State Governor, however, promised free medical services to Nigerians if elected President.

” If I become the President of Nigeria through your support and effort, I will ensure free medical services to all Nigerians because it is possible for me to achieve that as a medical doctor by profession.”

“I appeal to our Kaduna PDP delegates to vote for that person who has the energy to unite Nigeria and who will put Nigeria first before himself or any other interest, and I assure you I am that one person who will do all of these.

“2023 is not the time to vote just any person into power. We need a courageous man to lead Nigeria. I stood my ground as a Senate President for Nigerians and to ensure that things are done the right way.

” If I am elected President I would make insecurity a thing of the past so that farmers can be able to go to their farms and children will go to school without any fear of being attacked.

The Presidential hopeful added that if elected, he will also revive moribund Textiles industries in Kaduna State. “We must unite the country because we are one. So vote me into power and I will revive all Textiles industries in Kaduna. We must provide employment to the youths,” Saraki emphasized.

While in Kaduna on Monday, the duo of Pius Ayim and Muhammed Hayatudeen also promised to reposition the country socially, economically and unite the country for the benefit of the citizenry.

Speaking to the delegates, Anyim who became the Senate President in August 2000 after Chuba Okadigbo was impeached promised to revamp the nation’s economy, which according to him would end insecurity in the country.

He said: “The theme of my campaign is greater Nigeria, and we would work together to make Nigeria great.”

According to Hayatudeen, it is not time for Nigerians to look at how prominent an aspirant is but, who can take the country to an enviable position.

While also saying that he should be held responsible for his electioneering campaign promises if elected, this is just as the Presidential aspirant also added that the country has gone through opportunities and challenges
