Nigeria: Dambata Community In Kano State Donates N2.1m To COVID-19 Fund

A donation of N2, 160, 000.00 has been presented to the Kano state Fund Raising Committee on COVID-19 from Dambatta Local Government Area to assist mitigate the effects of the lethal virus shattering the international community.
Giving updates on the cash and kinds donation , the State Commissioner for Information and member of the committee, Malam Muhammad Garba gave a breakdown of the cash donation as follows:
Alhaji Abba Dabo N450, 000.00; Alhaji Ahmadu Haruna Zago N500, 000.00; Alhaji Musa Gwadabe N500, 000.00; Alhaji Nu’uman Barau Dambatta N300, 000.00.
The rest are Alhaji Ibrahim Nuhu Amasaye N200, 000.00; Permanent Secretaries of Dambatta origin N100, 000.00; Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim N50, 000.00; Alhaji Magaji Sani N50, 000.00; and Barr. Salisu Haruna N10, 000.00.
Other donors include Futma Universal Concept Ltd N118, 250.00 and Alhaji Hamisu Dankaka N100, 000.00.
Malam Garba appealed to organizations and wealthy individuals within and outside the state to donate generously towards the committee set up to seek and collect donations in cash or kind and distribute same to those in need so as to cushion the harsh effect of the measures being taken by government against the spread of Covid-19 in Kano.
The statement stated that, anyone willing to donate to the committee in cash should pay/transfer to this account: Kano State COVID-19 Support, UBA, Account No: 1022751785, while donations in kind are also collected at a warehouse at number 94, Maganda Road and Kano State Government Printing Emir’s Palace Road.
