Bauchi State Executive Council says it has taken measures to address the challenges affecting the administration of budget in the state in order to come up with robust budget for the coming year. It will also block leakages to ensure sanity in the State payroll.

The State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Dr Ladan Salihu disclosed this Wednesday while speaking with newsmen on the outcome of the Council’s Meeting chaired by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.

The Commissioner said the council has deliberated on budget formulation in the areas of policy, planning and execution so as to prioritize on Government projects in the formulation of the budget.

He said the Council approved that, all the 468 Nomadic Schools and their teachers are now to be under the control and supervision of the Bauchi State Agency for Nomadic Education.

According to him, the move is to ensure effective and efficient administration of the schools and monitoring of the teachers as prior to the council’s meeting, there have been a lot of unresolve issues surrounding the management of the schools.

On the payment of workers and pensioners entitlements, Dr Ladan Salihu said the “council has taken necessary measures to block leakages and ensure sanity in the state payroll”.
