Nigeria Army on Tuesday arrested three suspected informants who were  said  to be given  vital information to bandits in Zamfara state.
A statement by the Director,  Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu said  troops deployed to Magam town on 25 June 2018 arrested  the  three suspected informants at Gobirawa Fulani village following a tip off.
Chukwu said the suspects were  alleged to be responsible for giving information to bandits before they carry out attacks.
He added that troops deployed in operation IDON RAINI while on patrol at Dansadau , Maru Local Government Area of the State rescued a kidnapped victim and recovered four motorcycles at Abobo village from bandits.
“The bandits abandoned their victim and the motorcycles on sighting the troops and fled into the bush. Efforts are being intensified by the troops to get the fleeing bandits”, he said.
The Army spokesman  appealed to the public to always report any suspicious activity to the law enforcement agents for prompt action.
