Police in Jigawa State, North West Nigeria, have arrested one Mal. Musa Wada of Jikas-Dabaja village, Gwaram LGA, in connection with the gruesome murder of one of his pupils (Almajiri)  Bashir Adamu,..
Police Spokesperson, SP Lawal Shi’isu Adamu who confirmed this in Dutse said on receiving information on the unfortunate incidence, Detectives attached to Gwaram Division quickly swung into actions and got the suspect arrested.
SP Shi’isu further stated that on interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department Dutse, the suspect confessed that,  the late Bashir Adamu was his student but refused to come to school.
“And when he questioned the pupil the reason for his absence, he failed to provide a satisfactory response, hence I decided to punish him”, the suspect said
“In the process, Bashir lost consciousness and passed away .

While attempting to deceive the public into believing that ritualists had killed Bashir, according to Police, the culprit decided to cut off his head and genital organs.
The suspect removed the head and genital organs of the deceased and buried on his farmland.
The Police recalled that on 12/03/2025 at about 2200h the Divisional Police Headquarters Gwaram, discovered that, a beheaded body with no genital organs was sighted by the roadside along Jikas-Dabaja village, Gwaram LGA which was already decomposing.
The corpse was later identified as Bashir Adamu, a student (Almajiri) of one Musa Wada.
The suspect will be arraigned in court to face the full wrath of the law, the Spokesman assured.
