Nigeria: Assist Less Privileged, Vulnerables – Kanwan Katsina Tasks Wealthy Individuals

The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has called on wealthy individuals from his community and the state in general, to use part of their wealth to assist the less privileged and vulnerable persons in the society especially in this holy month of Ramadan.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara made the call during the distribution of clothing and cash to orphans and less privileged persons from Ketare District donated by Bishir Umar Girbobo Foundation and other philanthropist from the Area at his Palace in Ketare.

The beneficiaries of the Ramadan gesture were selected by the village heads from the district who brought them to the palace of the Kanwan Katsina to receive the package

He noted that Almighty God accepts the prayers of the needy, the less privileged and the people that are in hardship at trying times especially in this Holy month of Ramadan

The traditional ruler used the occasion to commend the Katsina State Government initiative for rolling out various policies and programs aimed at cushioning the effect of economic hardship on the people which include provision of food items at subsidized rates and distribution of free food to the needy during iftr.

The Kanwan Katsina called for continued prayers for the government and people of the state to succeed in the ongoing fight against insecurity.
