Nigeria: MACBAN Alleges Killings Of Members In Kaduna

Date:

Miyetti Allah Cattle Breaders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN has alleged that some of its members are killed in attacks in Kaduna communities.

The Kaduna State Chairman of the Association, Haruna Usman in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday said despite the killings, a security outfit, Operation Safe Haven could not live up to expectations.

According to Usman, upon assumption of office by the new Sector Commander of the Operation Safe Haven in the last three months, more of its members have lost their lives.

The Association therefore called on the Federal and State Governments not only to come to their aide, but call to order, the Commander Operation Safe Haven, Sector 7 Kafanchan, Lt Col. Osueke Andy Uzor, whom the Association accused of being biased in the discharge of his duty.

” This act of bias is responsible for either the unexplainable disappearance or outright killings of our innocent members in Godogodo village of Jema’a Local Government Area,” Kaduna MACBAN leader claimed.

The Association further accused the Sector Commander of abandoning his official guest house, to staying in an apartment belonging to whom MACBAN suspected to be sponsoring the killings of its members.

” On this note, we are appealing to the Kaduna State Government to look into the antics of the Commander whose very actions are against the government’s policies of being fair and just to all the Communities in the state.

” We are enjoining our members to remain calm and exercise restraints and be law abiding citizens as we have reported our grievances to the concerned authorities,” Usman explained.
