Nigeria: Namadi Disburses N1.8 billion Food Stuffs In Customized Sacks To Vulnerable In Jigawa

Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi has disbursed palliatives to less privileged across the state in customized sacks bearing his photograph and “Not for Sale”.

Launching the distribution in Gumel, the Governor warned against diversion or illegal sales of the palliatives, stressing that the provision of the palliative was meant to support families following the economic hardship caused by the recent fuel subsidy removal.

Governor Namadi also cautioned officials of the committee saddled with the responsibility of sharing the commodities to have the fear of Allah in the discharge of the assigned responsibility.

President Bola Tinubu had during his swearing in on May 29th this year, announced the removal of subsidy on petroleum products which since then makes life difficult for Nigerians
