NDE To Partner Jigawa Govt On Job Creation

The National Directorate of Employment, ( NDE) in Jigawa State is to assist the Jigawa State government, Northwest Nigeria in offering training on job creation in various crafts.

The State Director, Alh. Abdul- Hamid Mamman Daura gave this indication during an interactive session with journalists in Dutse.

” Being federal govt agency’s with expert tutors who are vast and talented in various fields in job creation, ours is to make proposal, design, and formulate memos, and solicits govt support for implementation”

NDE, as he stated, knows the wizards in job creation in different crafts in Collaboration with public participation who are expert’s in their descipline in their places of work who are willing to offer a collaborative efforts in offering training in different crafts to our teeming youths in coming up with gainful employment opportunities in different formats on our Youths”

According to him, the Jigawa office of the NDE is equiped in training formats in different trades such as Automobile training, wood- works and carpentry, tailoring, weldding, pomade and perfume making, hair dressing and saloons.

So far, it has trained over one hundred, and fifty people comprised Women, youths and graduates in different crafts from January to date.

” We train, and support our participants with working tools and appreciable funds during training and supports at the end of training with working capital for them to be able to stand on their feets after the training for self reliance”

Our intention is to offer our people with skills in different crafts of their choice both youths and women classes for them to be self employed, and productive so as not to indulge or being nuisance in thesociety.

He commended Jigawa state government for its continued patronage and support to NDE Programmes in the state as well its giant stride’s in resuscitating its seven Skills Acquisition Centres in the state .

He called on the Youths to imbibe the spirit of being enterprenuers at all times for self reliance in life.

Established about thirty five years ago, the National Directorate on Employment NDE has offices in all the states in the federation with a mission to offer training in Skills acquisition in different Crafts to the teeming Youths, Women and graduates to acquire gainful employment for self reliance under the State and Federal Government Employment Programmes.
