Some former workers of the Beaches and Waterways project in Liberia are protesting the non-settlement of their arrears of salaries by the National Government.

Many of the aggrieved former employees gathered at the 9th street, Sinkor residence of President George Weah on Wednesday, complaining that the government owes them eleven (11) months salaries.

George Young, who is spokesperson of the aggrieved workers, alleged that Beaches and Waterways signed an agreement with the government for the settlement of salaries and closure of the project before its current renewal, and is due them 11 months salaries.
