2023: We Won’t Politicize Fight Against Insecurity – Rada Assures Kanwan Katsina

The APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Katsina State, Dr Dikko Umar Radda has assured traditional institutions in the State of his commitment not to play politics in the fight against insecurity if elected.

Dr Radda was speaking at the palace of Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara when he led his campaign team on Ward to Ward tour of Kankara Local Government Area.

Acknowledging the importance of traditional institution, the Gubernatorial candidate’s first point of call, was the palace where he presented himself and other candidates seeking elective positions in the forth coming general elections to seek royal blessings.

Speaking at the palace, Dr. Diko Rada told the Kanwan Katsina and members of his Council including village heads of Ketare, Hurya and Kuka Sheka that he embarked on the Ward to Ward tour of the state to present himself and other APC candidates to the electorates and also have first hand information on situations on ground.

The Gubernatorial candidate was strongly of the opinion that issues of solving the insecurity in the State is a collective responsibility that requires all hands to be on deck.
This, also requires quality leadership from a leader who will be in the frontline in the fight against the menace”, he re emphasized.

Dr Radda who was also armed with messages of good will from the APC Presidential Candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima, informed the Monarch of the warm reception accorded his campaign team in all the 339 wards toured so far.
This, he said, was a clear testimony that they are appreciated and supported by the electorates.

He stated that 2 of the 4 leading gubernatorial candidates and 1 deputy are from Kankara Local Government and the people of the area are conversant with them, hence the need for the electorates to be wise in making decisions on who deserves their mandate at the polls.

The APC Gubernatorial Candidate described the Kanwan Katsina, UK Bello, as popularly known in the Customs circle during his service days, as Champion of development of his people in all ramifications. “You always put your people first above personal interest at all times”, he remarks.

Sampling himself, Dr Dikko Radda who is the Gwagwaren Katsina explained that he also hails from a royal family of Radda Village Head whose motive is always putting their subjects first in all their dealings which is part of their upbringing and home training.

While soliciting support from the communities of Ketare District on behalf of other candidates, Rada reassured Kanwan Katsina that he is aware of the issues bedeviling the area and promised to do his best if elected .

Dr Rada also called for support and prayers from religious leaders for divine guidance, protection and intervention to fulfill all the pledges made to the electorate in the course of his electioneering campaign.

Welcoming the gubernatorial candidate and his entourage to the District, the Kanwan Katsina, Alhaji Usman Bello reminded them that the people of the area are predominantly farmers, herders and traders who are law abiding and always supportive of government policies and programs for growth and development.

But, the Monarch was quick to express grave concern on the current insecurity, which he said, has been posing a serious threat to them and their means of livelihood.

Reminding the Gubernatorial Candidate of the tremendous support and development enjoyed from previous administrations in the state, Kanwan Katsina expressed the hope that the same gesture will be extended to the community by the APC  candidate if elected.

The Monarch thanked the gubernatorial candidate and his entourage for the visit and wished them journey mercies.

The campaign team also paid similar
homage to the palace of the Sarkin Pawwan Katsina District Head of Kankara before proceeding to the campaign venue in Kankara town.
