He attributed these wrongs to what he called obnoxious decisions by the APC government.
“Kaduna State has suffered allot in the past Seven and half Years under the current APC government which truly needs to be immediately addressed in order to restore dignity and quality of the Civil Service in the State,” Ashiru said.
The PDP Gubernatorial hopeful who further chronicled some of the ‘sins’ of the APC Administration in the State, promised to set up a committee with representatives from Labour to address all other “nonchalant ambiguities” and operate with the Civil Service as partners in progress.
He listed the State Wages contribution on Enrollment Bill to employee’s compensation and other Social Security platforms.
National Housing Fund which has also been giving the civil servants sleepless nights, Ashiru said, shall be looked into with a view to finding lasting solution.
He said leaders in both public and private organizations must understand that it was only when they have a productive workforce that development could thrive.
Ashiru angrily frowned at the high level of indebtedness of the State, which he observed, could force the State Civil Service to collapse.
The PDP Gubernatorial Candidate acknowledged the importance of Labour in the Administration of fairness, equity and justice between the workers and employers which can not be overemphasized.
Welcoming the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate and members of his Campaign Council, the NLC Chairperson in the State, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman said gone were the days when the Labour was sitting on the fence.
He emphasized that the present situation has engineered the NLC to be partisan and actively involve in politics to support any candidate that would identify with workers or labour friendly, if elected.
It was on the basis of that, the NLC’s Political Committee was inviting Candidates of various political parties for interactive meeting, the Chairperson said.
The PDP Gubernatorial Candidate was accompanied to the interactive session by the State Chairman, Hassan Hyatt, the Campaign Council Chairman, Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga among others, while the Labour under its Political Committee had leaders of various unions in attendance.
