Anthony Cardinal Okogie Foundation Annual Lecture “Salvaging A Bruised And Battered Nation” Holds Thursday In Lagos

The 2022 Anthony Cardinal Okogie Foundation Annual Lecture holds Thursday in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Lecture titled “Salvaging A Bruised And Battered Nation”, is organised by the Cardinal Anthony Okogie Foundation in conjunction with the Lagos Archdiocesan Laity Council.

The Guest Speaker is Dr. Linus Akor of the Department of Sociology, Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara State.

According to the organisers, the lecture is an annual event set out to raise awareness of the Gospel values through a critical look at the realities that surround Nigeria as a nation and their contributions to these realities.

In addition, it also aims at immortalising the person and legacy of His Eminence, Anthony Cardinal Okogie, Archbishop Emeritus of Lagos, whose voice in the Nigerian socio political milieu is quite familiar and formidable.
The occasion will feature fund raising for its activities which are mainly geared towards financial support for indigent students in secondary and tertiary institutions.
