Nigeria: Deployed Kano Civil Servants To Education Sector Undergo Refresher Course

The 3rd phase of the a week long training for the deployed Kano civil Servants to education sector has commenced in the 3 senatorial zones of the state.

Flagging off the training program at Kano Central and Kano South senatorial zones, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso disclosed that the training will serve as a refsher course to the deployed civil servants who have been working in MDAs for a long time so that they will deliver effeciently in the education sector.

She said that the educational background of the participants which is more appropriate in the education sector was what prompted the state government to deploy them so as to contribute their qouta in the development of education.

While urging them to reciprocate the government gesture by learning the new teaching techniques, she also encouraged them to discharge their duties with fear of Allah.

In their separate remarks at the occasion, the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Dr. Danlami Hayyo and his counterpart of the Qur’anic and Islmiyya Schools Management Board, Gwani Yahuza Gwani Danzarga called on the participants to ensure that they participated fully in the training.

They pointed out that the state government has spent alot of money for the training , hence the need for the participants to be functual and utilize what they should learn in the one week long training program.

Also speaking, the Executive Secretary KSSSMB, Dr. Bello Shehu appealed to the participants to be attentive so that they will be able to benefit and enhance their service delivery, stressing that they should in due course offer Step-down training to other teachers.

At the Kano North senatorial zone, the Executive Secretary STSB, Malam Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi described the programme as a good initiative of the present administion, especially in it’s determined efforts in boosting the state education sector.

Dr. Yakubu Ibrahim Wunti who is the Vice Chairman Bayero University Kano chapter of the Nigerian Association for Education Administration and Planning (NAEP), the facilitators of the training, assured the participants that the training is going to be interactive one, stressing the need to cooperate with the facilitators.

He expressed appreciation to the Kano state government for partnering with NAEP in the training of the deployed civil servants.

It could be recalled that the training program titled “Mordern Techniques of Teaching” has 1,200 participants that cut across KSSSMB, STSB, QISMB, KSSSMB, Agency for Mass Education and tertiary institutions under the ministry for Higher Education.
