Nigeria’s Defence Minister Observes Eid-el-Prayers With Troops In Kano

 

 

The Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (Rtd), earlier on Monday observed the Eid-el-Fitr prayers with troops of 3 Brigade Nigerian Army (NA) and members of thier families, at the Central Mosque Bukavu Barracks Kano.

Delivering his sermon, the Imam 3 Brigade NA, Major Sabiu Yusuf enjoined all “to continue with the good deeds of Ramadan and always be ready to render assistance to the needy and less privileged in the society”. Also, prayers were offered for peace and tranquility to prevail across the nation.

Immediately after the Eid-el-Fitr prayers, the Minister was conducted round Bukavu Barracks and other military facilities within Kano metropolis by the Commander 3 Brigade, Brigadier General Sinyinah Nicodemus, where the Minister inspected Officer’s and Soldier’s accommodation, ongoing construction of accommodation for the Regimental Seargent Major (RSM) of 3 Brigade, as well as other construction works within Barracks.

Present during the Eid-el-Fitr prayers were the Director Directorate of Islamic Affairs, Brigadier General Shehu Mustapha and other muslim faithful.
