Report from Kaduna Electric Distribution Company (KEDC) says the national grid has collapsed, throwing most parts of the country into darkness.

“We regret to inform you that the power outage being experienced in our franchise states is due to System Collapse of the National Grid which occured at about 10:40am,” says a terse statement by Head Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi.

The Company, in the statement, however assured that  power shall “be restored as soon as the National Grid is powered back.”
