Kaduna LG Polls: Stakeholders Endorse Peaceful Conduct Of Elections

All citizens of Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria have agreed to conduct peacefully, the Local government elections scheduled to hold on 4th September, 2021.
They also agreed to accept the outcome of the elections, while the security agencies have assured to provide security before, during and after the conduct of the election and to arrest and prosecute any culprits.
These were part of the communique issued at the end of the Stakeholders meeting held at Late Maiwada Galadima Memorial Hall, Maraban Kajuru. Kajuru Local Government Area on Wednesday at the instance of the District Head, Chief Titus Dauda and members of his council.
In the Communique, it was agreed by all citizens in the area to promote peaceful coexistence before, during and after the conduct of the election
Both candidates in the elections, Hon Cafra Caino of the APC, and Ibrahim Gajere of the PDP accepted to promote peace before, during and after the conduct of the local government elections.
“All political parties in the forth coming local government election agreed to accept the outcome of the election”, it said.

Communiqué Issued at the end of one day stakeholders meeting on the forth coming local government election with Traditional leaders of Kajuru local government area Kaduna State held at Late Maiwada Galadima Memorial Hall Maraban Kajuru. Kajuru Local Government. On Wednesday 1st September 2021.
Preamble: Kaduna State Independence electoral commission KADSIECOM announced the conduct of the state local government election to be held on Saturday 4th September, 2021. It is in view of this that Kufana District Traditional council organized a one day stakeholders meeting to discuss and agree to conduct peacefully. The meeting has in attendance the the local government overseer, Divisional Police Officers of Kasuwan Magani and Kajuru, O/c Department of state services, O/c Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, O/c Vigilantee, JNI, CAN, Village heads, The media, chairmanship and councillorship candidates of APC and PDP, party executives and stakeholders.
The head of security agencies urge all the participants to be avoiding any form of security threat and conflicts and wish all a good and peaceful election. The representatives of JNI and CAN appreciated the District Head for the foresight in organizing this meeting and commit to pray for the conduct of the elections.
They call on all to conduct the election peacefully looking at the security situation. They said all the aspirants are from Kajuru Local government and pray for a peaceful election. They call on the aspirants to speak to their supporters to be peaceful before, during and after the election.
 They finally said all candidates should accept the outcome of the election as in their word its God that gives power.
 Adara Development Association, Adara Youth Congress and the Hausa Fulani representatives urged the candidates if elected to work within the ambit of the law to bring development to the area and urge all to accept the outcome of the election, they urge all village heads to take the message to their various villages for the youths to be peaceful before, during and after the conduct of the election.
They promised to conduct the election peacefully and wish all a free and fair election. The representative of the National Orientation Agency said their role is to educate the citizens on government programs and policies.
They urge the youth to desist from all forms of conflict and fighting before, during and after the elections. She urges all to seek and promote peaceful coexistence, free and fair election.
A PDP stakeholder pleads for those displaced to be given opportunity to cast their votes and urged village heads to inform their wards on the need for peaceful coexistence.
 He enjoyed the aspirants to bring development if voted into office. The APC stakeholder on behalf of the party promised that his party will promote peace and call for security agencies to tightened and strengthen security before, during and after the election.
He urges all to live in peace with one another and urge the elite to preach unity.
The Local Government Overseer urges all citizens to be peaceful before, during and after the elections.
He said KADSIECOM Electronic Voting Machine is programmed and election is time bound he call on all to come out and cast their votes in good time and plead with all citizens to accept the outcome of the election.
He said on the issue of disenfranchising voters he said it’s the political parties that did not come to terms on the issues of relocation. He said any one that will cause problems the security agencies will fished him out and arrest him/her.
He finally said crowd campaign is not allowed due to the present security challenges within the LGA.
The two party chairmen call on all its supporters to follow election processes and appeal to all citizens to remain committed to peace before, during and after the conduct of the election and promised to support whosoever wins for the general development of the LGA.
The flag bearer of the APC Hon Cafra Caino promised to accept the outcome of the election will support whosoever wins and will promote peace before, during and after the election.
He finally sid he has sue the PDP PRO for Kajuru for deformation of character and apologized to the meeting that he did it in good faith to avoid character assassination of any kind.
The flag bearer of the PDP Ibrahim Gajere represented by Rev B.D Galadima appreciated the opportunity and promised to accept the outcome of the election and will support whosoever wins.
He also promised to promote peaceful conduct of the elections.
The candidates urge all citizens of Kajuru local government area to forgive one another and forget all that has happened before now so as to move the local government forward.
