The President, ECWA – TEKAN Churches, Rev Stephen Baba Panya has
reminded the entire Pastors, Reverends, Bishops and Members of the block to observe the three days of mourning and fasting beginning from Friday 28th May 2021 to Sunday 30th May 2021, declared by CAN.
In a statement, Rev Panya enjoined them to try and meet every evening to pray at their various local churches.
” Additionally, let all Church Members wear black clothes during these three days.
“The country is passing through its darkest moment in history so far and the situation we are in is very grievous.
“We need urgent divine intervention if our country is to survive this total security collapse and many other challenges we are facing.
” 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 says, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” (NLT).
“May the gracious and merciful God Almighty hear our prayers and supplications, answer us and heal our nation in Jesus name. Kindly pass on this message and God’s blessings”, the statement concludes.
