As Governor Yahaya Bello continues to claim Kogi, a State free Covid-19 , a group, National Volunteers Monitoring Initiative on the Pandemic has asked the Federal Government to caution the Governor on his unholy stance and stop politicisation.
A press statement signed by the National Secretary General of the volunteers, Comrade Yunusa Abubakar and made available to newsmen in Kaduna, says it’s uncalled for , some of the utterances of the Governor on Covid Nineteen.
Comrade Yunusa Abubakar explained that Covid-19Â had been scientifically proven globally that the Coronavirus is real and has killed several prominent people worldwide.
He lamented that over eighty-four thousand people were victims of covid nineteen and over one thousand two hundred and sixty four died as a result of the virus in Nigeria.
The National Secretary General urged the Federal Government to take drastic measures against all politicians jeopardising the lives of the people because of selfish interest.
He commended the Presidential Taskforce on covid nineteen under the leadership of SGF Boss Mustapha for taken steps to address the spread of the second phase of the virus.
The volunteers advised Nigerians to continue to adhere strictly to the Covid 19 protocols by using facemasks, distancing, and stay at home as part of efforts to curtail the spread of the virus
