A gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP , Shuaibu Idris Miqati has declared his intention to contest the Kaduna state governorship election come 2019.
The Aspirant who joined the party in 2002 and eyed the position in 2007 and 2011, told the State party Excos on Wednesday in Kaduna ,North West of the country that his Commitment and Steadfastness in the party since then would pay him this time around.
“I believe strongly in the axiom that says ” patience pays”, thus since then I have remained a faithful, loyal and humble member of the party giving my token contributions to the development and growth of the party at local, State and national levels “.he said.
Miqati reminded the party Excos chairmanned by a former Aviation Minister, Hassan Hyat that the 2019 general elections is largely being contested on the premise of Integrity saying that he was coming from the private sector with no issues attached to his name.
“Indeed, I was awarded a medal on Integrity recently by the African Leadership Magazine in Accra, Ghana, ” he said.
The Aspirant stated that having painstakingly studied Kaduna State on the Issues of governance and other Challenges, he has developed a Blue Print tagged WIPPER which , açcording to him would help in transforming the State,if implemented.
Hammering on his track record of hard work dedication and devotion to duty, education, experience , exposure as well as mass appeal to a broad spectrum of voters and leaders alike , he said , if given the party’ s ticket, together they shall regain the State which it lost to the ruling APC in 2015.
