Ahead of the rescheduled Local Government election in Jaba Council Area of Kaduna State, a former member of the House of Representatives, Godfrey Gaiya says nothing would stop the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from recording a resounding victory .

The rescheduled election followed the cancellation in three Local Government Areas where it was first conducted on the twelve of May this year.

Gaiya who represented Jaba/Zango Federal Constituency for eight years in the Lower Chambers of the National Assembly, said even if elections is conducted ten times in Jaba Local Government Area, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will still win .

Gaiya was speaking with newsmen in Kaduna in reaction to the Cancellation of the May Twelve Local Government Elections in the five seemingly PDP Dominated Local Government Areas of the State.

The former Legislator reminded the ruling party in the State that the entire southern Kaduna is a PDP dominated area alleging  that they were  aware of the rigging by the A.P.C in Sanga and Kagarko Local Government Areas to upturn the results.

“I want to let El-Ruafai know that even if he is made the returning officer by SIECOM for Jaba Local Government Area, PDP will still deliver the area.” “I want to also assure that even the whole APC in Kaduna State will move its Machineries to Jaba, they cannot conquer PDP”

Godfrey Gaiya noted  that the  election was conducted peacefully in the area to its logical Conclusion, only for the opposition who knew there was no hope for them, but to instigate  the State Governor by lying to him that there was crisis in the area while there was nothing of such.

In his Contribution, Member representing Jaba Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Obadiah Bako said as a representative of the constituency, he went round the area and discovered that elections were conducted in virtually all the wards except in Sabchem ward where some Youths snatched some boxes but were apprehended and taken to the Police.

He explained that it was surprising to to hear that elections were cancelled in Jaba Local Government Area.

Obadiah Bako maintained that Jaba people are peace loving people and that what APC did was to cause crisis to pave way for them to capture the Area

“I want to Clearly State here that, the Cancellation of the May Twelve elections is a blessing and restrategizing us as many electorate could not afford to cast their votes due to the heavy rainfall on that day.

The Legislator claimed that PDP won in Jaba because according to him they have the result at hand.

The PDP Candidate Philip Gwada disclosed that they have already done a thorough campaign knowing fully they will win the election.

He said even though the election was cancelled by the power that be, they are still waiting for the new date fixed for the election.

He said it’s a deliberate game plan to ensure they APC win by all means because they already lost hope “I still want to let the opposition know that as it is in Jaba, except APC will apply magic wand which have not been known”

Philip Gwada appealed to the  people in Jaba Local Government area to come out enmass to participate in the re-conduct of the election and ensure they conduct themselves maturely and peacefully.
