Reports from China say, a Doctor has successfully created an artificial ear from a patient’s hand to help the patient hear again.
The patient, Mr. Ji, was reported to have lost his right ear in an accident and was eager to have it back.
Doctor Guo Shuzhong from China’s Shaanxi Province, used the patient’s cartilage from his ribs to build the new ear; and thereafter transplanted it to the man’s head.
The process was completed over four months.
