According to a Naij report, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), along with the Biafra Independence Movement (BIM), has urged the UN to divide the country in order to facilitate self rule within Nigeria.

Chris Mocha, BIM spokesman, has proposed that Nigeria be divided into South East (Biafra), South South (Niger Delta), North East, North West, South West (Oduduwa) and North-Central.

In addition, Mocha stated that when each zone is given independence, assets belonging to each district will be protected by international laws, thereby governing future relationships with new republics, Sun News Online reports.
