Ramadan: Police Commissioners to Supervise Key Spots

Kaduna (Nigeria) – Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon E. Arase, has directed State Command Commissioners of Police to personally ensure that key and vulnerable points such as all places of worship, recreation/resort centers, and other public places are adequately protected to ensure a peaceful fasting period as well as Eid-el Fitri celebration across the country.

A statement by the Police Force Spokesperson, Olabisi Kolawole explained that, the directive was given to ensure safety and enable worshippers and the general public enjoy maximum fulfillment, during and after the period.

Arase also urged all Muslims to pray for the peace and stability of Nigeria and the winning of the battle against crime and criminality.
