Kaduna (Nigeria) — Senator Representing Kaduna Central District at National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has said that nobody can suspend him from All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.

Senator Sani was reacting to journalists question on his recent suspension from the party. He said those who suspended him have breached provisions of the constitution.

A faction of the APC, from his Tudun Wada ward, and state party executives have announced him suspended, over his failure to respond to their invitation to go and clear his name from anti-party allegations leveled against him.

Senator Sani said the action of the party executives was against the party constitution describing the suspension to have lacked merit.

“Their decision was against the constitution of our great party. I think people need to ask for the APC constitution to check if their action was based on due process or it is what the constitution say.

“I didn’t want to comment on the issue since my ward chairman and loyalists in the party also came out to distance themselves from the suspension.

“This is because we heard some members of the party were given money to do what they did. In fact, even the suspension letter was said to have been forged.

“So I better keep quite before I alter another word that people may not like to hear. I don’t have money to hire machinery to go into radio stations and be insulting others. But we are aware that money was given to some people who move around from one radio station to another criticizing Shehu Sani,

“I don’t mind because if my people say they don’t like me as their senator I won’t mind because People don’t like those who speak the truth and if my offense is telling the truth then I don’t mind losing my sit.

“I’m sure by the time I’m no longer there people will realized my importance in the senate. But the truth remain, I will not be silent in telling the truth and criticizing any anti masses policies whether I’m a Senator or not.

“I have been defending masses of these country even before I became Senator and that I will continue doing even after living the position,” he said.

The Senator also debunked the report that his actions were to destroyed the party. “I don’t want our party to fail, I also don’t want the governor to fail. But there are people who cannot feed, until they created crisis and they are still there doing everything possible to see that the crisis continue in the party,” he said.

Senator Shehu Sani also stated that no party will succeed by discriminating party elders in a state.

Explained that as a senator within six months he has empowered many youth with job opportunities within his constituency, vowing to do more.
