Kaduna (Nigeria) – Nigeria Police on has received a boost with the institution of Foreign Partnership to tackle security challenges bedevilling the country.
A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer Emmanuel Ojukwu says, an association made up of Nigerians serving in British metropolitan Police has paid a visit to Nigeria Police headquarters.
It says “The Nigeria Police Forum, an association made up of nigerians servIng in British Metropolitan Police are in the country to fashion out ways to support their fatherland.The group paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Police Headquarters in Abuja.”
The statement quotes Inspector General of Police saying;
“The visit is a fallout of an earlier trip to the metropolitan police in UK, and promised to create an enabling environment for fusion of ideas with the group to advance the intelligence and technological base of the Nigeria Police”.
The visiting team included the Police adviser of the commission, Mr Robert Hunter, the police adviser of the british commission Abuja, Tom Outwaite, and Mrs Matagrawa Nurata from the Ministry of Police Affairs Abuja.
Recently, Nigeria police had strengthened ties with Germany to curtail insurgency and other criminal activities in the country.
