Secretary and Director of Administration, Nigeria Law School, Abuja, the nation’s capital, Elizabeth Max-Ubah gave the charge at the end of the year parade of Boys Brigade of the United Evangelical Church, UEC Utako.
Max-Ubah, while inspecting the parade said that she was impressed by the parade and the display by members of the Brigade from various branches of the church, saying that they should maintain the tempo and be usefull in the house of God and the society at large.
She observed that God is looking for young men and women to deliver the gospel to the rest of the world, stating that although, it is not an easy task but as soldiers of God, they should not relent their efforts.
According to her, “God is looking for young men and women to grow and be pillar in the house of God, so don’t allow any change in the world to discourage you. As soldiers of God, be focused at all time.”
She asserted that God has done a great thing for mankind which cannot be easily forgotten, maintaining that the gift of salvation alone cannot be compared to any service or sacrifice people render to Him.
Max-Ubah further urged members of the Brigade and other youths in the church to do whatever God ask them to do diligently, adding that they should not despise their youthfull age, as God will surely bless them abundantly beyond their expectation.
The Commandant, Boys Brigade of Abuja Area Conference, ABACON of the UEC, Elder Sunday Emmanuel who spoke to newsmen after the parade, enjoined members of the Brigade to be more focused and as well be serious with their studies both academic and spiritual so that they could be helpful to the church, parents and themselves.
Elder Emmanuel, while thanking God for making the end of the year parade a reality, disclosed that members were being taught Bible Knowledge, Mathematics and English language in every of their lectures, considering the fact that without credit in Mathematics and English language, students will not gain admission to any university in the country.
The Commandant however called on parents and well wishers of the Boys Brigade to support them to enable the organisation carry out their activities successfully and efficiently. Â
